Hurricane Irma Special Collection

Updated: Jan 14, 2020

Last week, we once again witnessed the destructive power of a natural disaster. Hurricane Irma devastated the southeastern United States and the Caribbean, especially the Diocese of St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. In order that we may assist our brothers and sisters in these areas, a special collection will be held the weekend of September 23rd and 24th.

Just a few short weeks ago, the faithful of the Diocese of Scranton responded very generously with financial contributions for the special collection held for Hurricane Harvey. We are called upon once again to provide financial help to those most in need.

You may also donate to Catholic Charities USA at any time by visiting https://catholiccharitiesusa.org/. Your financial sacrifice will provide comfort and hope to those most impacted by Hurricane Irma as they begin the long to recovery and rebuilding their communities.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated. May we continue to pray for all those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
