The Pastor's Christmas Message

Updated: Jan 14, 2020

A Christmas Message from Monsignor Rupert

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.

On behalf of Bishop Joseph Bambera, Monsignor Thomas Muldowney, Father Jeffrey Walsh, Father Jeffrey Tudgay and myself, I extend sincere gratitude to all those who were so generous and thoughtful with cards, baked goods, flowers, and gifts that were sent to us the past few weeks. We are so very grateful for and humbled by your generosity!

On your behalf, I extend my most heartfelt thanks to William Manley, who, along with Kathy Geiger so generously gave of their time and talent to decorate the Cathedral Church and rectory. As always, both spaces are beautifully appointed!

Also, my thanks to Linda Orseck, Mark Ignatovich, choir members, instrumentalists, cantors and other liturgical ministers—seminarians, lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, altar servers, ushers, ministers of hospitality, and sacristans—for sharing their time and talents during the Christmas season, especially as we welcome many visitors to our Cathedral Church. Finally, my sincere thanks to our dedicated and caring Parish Staff, who, each day ensure the smooth operation of our Cathedral. Our parish life is so greatly enhanced by the faithful and generous service of so many!

May you and your loved ones be blessed with love and peace this Christmas Season and every day of the New Year!

Merry Christmas!

Sincerely,

Dale R. Rupert
